Laps for Learning a Big Success AGAIN!

Knoch Intermediate Elementary School held their annual Laps for Learning event on August 31, and they held their awards ceremony on Friday, September 30.  Here is a synopsis of their report:
 
235/301 students participated (78%). Great job!

4th grade:  128/167 students (77%) in 4th grade participated, either by walking or pledging, which is a 76.6% participation; Walked 2,526 laps or 631.5 miles, which is like walking almost the whole way from SAXONBURG to ATLANTA, GA!

5th grade:  107/134 students (80%) in 5th grade participated, either by walking or pledging, which is an 80% participation; Walked 2,431 laps or 607.75 miles, which is like walking a few miles farther than SAXONBURG to MADISON, WISCONSIN!

21 Teachers and Staff members turned Laps Cards in (although there were several others who attended) and walked 190 laps or 47.5 miles, which is more than the length of 2 marathons.

Total School (including teachers): 5,147 laps or 1,286.75 miles. This is like walking a little bit further than from SAXONBURG to  BISMARCK, ND!
