Summer Sluggers is a computer-run program that is designed to keep kids working on reading and math skills throughout the summer to keep them sharp. The program is sponsored by Major League Baseball and follows a baseball theme. The following 5th grade students from SBIES completed the program and were awarded tickets to a Pirate game:
Garrett Mitchell, Ryden Rooker, Alyssa Patterson, Braelee Bogan, Ethan Kaper, and Ethan Rouleau.
