 Parents and Guardians-

On Friday, October 30th the Intermediate Elementary School will hold the annual Halloween celebration.  This year will be different than years past because of the current COVID-19 related issues. Students will still be wearing Halloween costumes if they choose. Here are some more details:

  • If students choose to wear a costume, they must wear it to school (we won’t be changing into costumes as we have done in the past).
  • Costumes must fit so that students can sit comfortably in a desk for the whole day.
  • Costumes must allow students to be able to navigate the restroom on their own.
  • No accessories (wands, shields, etc.).
  • No masks that cover the nose or mouth as students will still be wearing their normal COVID-19 related masks. Hats and masks that do not cover the nose or mouth are permitted.
  • Students will still wear their normal COVID-19 related masks, which can be decorated to fit their costumes.
  • No blood or gore.
  • Individual classrooms will be having a celebration in the afternoon (we will not have parent volunteers).
  • Our PTO will be providing a treat bag for every student.
  • PTO will be providing each student with a craft that will be constructed during the party.
  • If parents want to send in a treat for each student in the class, that is permissible. Please bear in mind that such treats must be store bought and individually wrapped. Students will not be able to eat the treats in class. They will have to take them home along with the PTO treat bag.
  • Please note that we will not be parading students through the building to show off their costumes as we did last year.

While our celebration will look different this year, it is important to give the students a fun experience.  Thank you for following the guidelines and your partnership.

Sincerely,

Dr. Frank Moxie

Principal
